Newsletter - April 2011
Welcome to the April 2011 edition of
the Newsletter - a shortish one this time - more of a kind of catch-up
and to say that I am still here.
It certainly has been a long, cold winter, beset
with sadness, since I lost my father just before Christmas.
Spring has finally arrived and it is time to peep
out and start communicating again.
I look forward now to a year in my new studio and
accompanying Open Days, the first of which is this weekend.

with later opening until 7pm on the Saturday.
This year I will be based in my new studio in Kirkcudbright.

Collaboration with Kate Anderson
Slowly, slowly, I have been carrying on working.
An interesting and challenging diversion has been a collaboration
with local mosaic artist, Kate Anderson, on a private commission.

The whole process was quite exciting and enlightening
as we worked together to interpret our client's brief.
Kate's work is deeply imaginative, striking and thought-provoking,
and it was a good experience to spend time with her in the making
of the piece.

She is also taking part in Spring Fling again this
year - Studio 22
Finally
I am sorry there is no video or print this
time. I mean to resume that tradition soon, but it might take me
a month or two to get back into the swing of regular newsletters.
Thank you for your patience.
